Hi, I’m Madison, a communications leader with over twelve years of experience across nonprofits, government, and mission-driven tech. From shaping narratives on Capitol Hill to leading teams at national advocacy organizations, I love turning big ideas into content that inspires people to take action. I have a degree in journalism and a master’s in public affairs, and a deep belief in the power of storytelling to create change.
Recently
At FOLX Health, I oversaw media relations, executive communications, and rapid response to policy developments.

Previously at GLSEN, I led the communications team along with two external agencies, overseeing all aspects of content, public relations, digital media, and executive communications to advance safe and inclusive education for LGBTQ+ youth nationwide. This included writing speeches and preparing the Executive Director for major media appearances and events, producing reports for the Department of Education, and delivering inclusive book sets to more than 8,100 schools in 33 states, reaching over 6.3 million students.
Before leading LGBTQ+ advocacy, I served as Director of Digital Communications on Capitol Hill, helping shape national narratives around racial justice, policing reform, and mental health.

A bit more about me
Before moving into policy and advocacy work, I led content and communications for tech startups, agencies, and community initiatives. Highlights include designing sponsored New York Times features for RetailMeNot that drove 4.7M visits and $1M+ in sales, developing content strategy for Lyft’s Austin marketing office, and securing national media coverage in NPR, Forbes, and Wired through campaigns at T3. I also directed marketing and event communications for Red White & Blues, a benefit concert featuring Grammy-nominated Black Pumas that raised funds for unhoused veterans.
Outside of work, I enjoy riding my bike, writing fiction, cooking with friends, and taking on too many house projects!
